This was one of the worst places to take my car. Needed it taken care of asap. Car wouldn't start. Got it towed there. The only problem with my vehicle was the nut on my started wasn't tighten. So no start. They call me 6hr after my car was there and told me the starter bolt wasn't tight. Then they told me it's riding ruff. And they had codes pop up that said my ignition coils needed to changed out. And they were gonna charge me $300 to tighten that bolt. And another $400 to replace 1 of them. I told them don't replace nothing. Because I know that's a new transmission and new engine. Got it towed back to my house. Car was running just as great before I sent it in. And it's running great now. Wasn't running bad at all. Did a hard reset on it. And guess what no check engine light on. That was 09/14/23. And on 09/16/23 drove back to Ohio from Minnesota. No check engine light at all. This place is a rip off. They have a quota to make every month. And they will make it when there really nothing wrong with your vehicle. Horrible Horrible experience.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. As we noted on your invoice " -- Technician Notes from AutoVitals SmartFlow -- Bypass relay, still no crank. Vehicle has a brand new starter in it. Check for power at "s" terminal at starter, good. Poor connection at spade terminal for "s". After repair the vehicle started but is running very rough. Vehicle has a misfiring on cylinder #1. We would recommend to replace cylinder #1 Ignition coil. The upper intake would need to be removed to gane access to the ignition coil. Also the upper intake gaskets would need to be replaced with service. There may be other issue casing misfire but we would need to start with replacing ignition coil." We got you in right away, diagnosed and repaired the errors from the installation on your new starter which someone else installed. Your charge for the diagnosis and repair was $258. We're not lying about your misfire. It will almost certainly come back and the codes are stored in your ECM. We quoted you $382 to replace your faulty ignition coil which you declined. We don't have any sales quotas. We're simply being a responsible repair shop and trying to do our best to be sure your repairs are completed correctly during your first visit so your vehicle is safe and reliable. Maybe they do things different in Ohio but that's not 1 star service around here. Good luck to whoever gets your future business.
